This year marks the 125th running of the world’s oldest Marathon scheduled on October 11, 2021. I am proudly running the Boston Marathon with the Beth Israel Lahey Health Charity, a 503(c) non-profit organization (Tax ID 83-2671600).

They do amazing work and I am grateful for your support.
Your donation will help fund the Healthcare Heroes ICU Special Unit of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Here is a bit about the fund:
“Throughout the pandemic, our frontline staff have reminded us all what it means to be a hero.
To commemorate their service, this campaign will pay tribute to their lifesaving work and name the entire 6th floor of the New Inpatient Building in their honor.  The new floor will redefine how care at BIDMC is delivered. It will feature 30 ICU beds to provide essential flexible capacity for any future public health events requiring patient isolation, state-of-the-art infection control and critical care measures.”
The pandemic has brought us innumerable challenges to surmount.  It has also been a catalyst for new beginnings. One of them for me was discovering the joy of distance running. During the confinement and isolation of COVID 19, running was a lifesaver for me, a way of coping. I began jogging around my neighborhood, gradually increasing my distance one mile at a time. A year and a half later, I found myself filling out the registration form for the 125th Boston Marathon.
Thank you for supporting me and the Healthcare Heroes ICU in the 2021 Boston Marathon!
